Linguistic Register: We selected a formal professional register. Since we are representing the SMX technical department to international visitors, we avoided slang and focused on “Standard English” to ensure everyone understands, regardless of their native language.
Message Structure:
The message follows a
logical 3-part structure:
Opening: Building rapport and establishing identity
Professional Context: Highlighting our technical support
(infrastructure and workflow)
Closing: Providing a “Call to Action” by offering
technical help
Intercultural Strategy: We focused on clear pronunciation and moderate speed. In an international context, speaking too fast can cause confusion. By using technical cognates (infrastructure, collaboration, project), we ensure the message is accessible to all professional participants.
